Once Upon a Texas Train
It Happened to Jane.
A silent comedy about mishaps on the Pacific Electric or Los Angeles
Pacific trolleys. I believe it was "Lukes Trolley Troubles" released 4 Feb 1917;
directed by Hal Roache and starring Harold Lloyd. It is a "hoot" of what not do
so as a motorman. May no longer exist - last seen B4 1960 on TV. For steam fans,
"The Train" 1961 with Bert Lancaster. This is not a movie for those who get
upset if a steam loco gets "hurt"; many SNCF (French) steamers were destroyed in
this Oscar nominated film about the end of WW2. Lots of close shots of
derailments, full fledged wrecks, steam cranes and running gear. No computer
graphics or models, just the real thing as best I can tell.
