EXCLUSIVE NEW BOOK Has just arrived
Peter's Railway and the
Moonlight Express
by Christopher Vine.
Published by Christopher Vine.
The continuing adventures of a young boy from the UK who lives with his
family at the edge of his Grandpa’s farm. Grandpa and Peter have
constructed a miniature steam railway across Grandpa's farm to the boy's house.
Now the pair need to add more track, a turntable and a loop at the far end to
turn the train around. These projects bring up several technical concepts that
are simply explained in the illustrated drawings. More of the workings of
a steam locomotive are explored as well.
It's a very exciting time for Peter as he learns to drive the steam engine.
It's what he's been waiting for since they stared to build the railway.
Except for a minor disaster, everything works as they planned. The story
finishes with the railway running at night, taking Grandma to a surprise
birthday dinner.
