Home made Industrial two axle switcher engine and
engineers car, 7.5"gauge. Engine is gas powered by a Briggs and Stratton
5hp motor and a General Motors 3 speed car transmission. 3 forward gears
and reverse. The engine measures 17' wide over hand rails and 45" long
from coupler to coupler pocket. It does have a brake for stopping. It is
the old band and drum style. I added a battery and a air horn. There is no
headlight. I have pulled just over 1500 lbs of weight behind this engine
all over train mountain. I also have a spare Briggs and Stratton 5hp motor
that will go with it and a new air filter.
The engineers car is one I built my self from the plans on
a CD that I bought off of Discover Live Steam. It has a boat seat with a
swivel. The coupler is from RMI. Safety cable is included. The truck pin
is 1/2" in diameter and the truck is a Mountain car modern truck.
